METAMORA
GOLF OUTING: The 13th annual golf outing to benefit St. Mary School is planned for Friday, Aug. 6, at Metamora Fields Golf Club, 801 W. Progress St. Tee times begin at 7 a.m. and are every 10 minutes until noon. Golfers may check in 15 minutes prior to tee times. The format is a four-person best ball scramble. The cost is $110 per person, which includes a registration gift, green fees, cart, two drink tickets, a grab-and-go breakfast and boxed lunch. The dead- line for registration is July 30. PRO-LIFE HOLY HOUR: The Holy Hour for the Rights of the Unborn will be held on Mon- day, July 5, at 7 p.m. at St. Mark Church, 1113 W. Bradley Ave. It normally consists of Bene- diction, the rosary and other prayers. Masks are not required for those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. ULTREYA: Ron Budzinski will be the speaker for an Ultreya on Saturday, July 10, at Holy Family Church, 3720 N. Sterling Ave. It will begin at 7 p.m. and include Mass. A social time will fol- low outdoors with individually wrapped snacks and beverages. Guests and family members of Cursillistas are welcome. The 2021 theme is Go Make Disci- ples. No registration is needed.

Deceased Altar and Rosary members remembered in Geneseo
Ten members of the St. Malachy Altar and Rosary Society, Circle 14, in Gen- eseo who died during the time that the group was not able to gather due to COVID-19, were remembered in prayer recently. The service included a reading from Scripture and the lighting of candles made for each of the deceased members by Karen Humbert (pictured), circle president.
